Little Bay Compound

Perfect place for large groups. Beautiful view, boat dock was nice , the grounds were awesome and secure. Not so sure about the neighbors to the south though but just try and avoid them.

Beautiful piece of property and location cannot be beat in Islamorada for a group our size. Our group went from 15 to 12 and I am glad. Having to put 5 (or 6 as the property indicates each unit sleeps) adults in each of the three units would be TIGHT! The cottage could definitely use more beds and less sleeper sofas. Overall we LOVED our stay and would rent again in a heartbeat. Kim at Freewheeler was awesome to work with and highly recommend the agency as well as the property.

We took our time looking for a place to have our wedding. It turned out absolutely perfect. The location, the homes on the compound, the weather, the sunsets were all spectacular. The no-see-ems were horrible though... We will definitely rent again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Bay! The sunsets are breath taking! Such a perfect home for a large group. We would all recommend this home to anyone and would love to stay there again.

We rented the entire compound. Gated property that keeps your family feel secure. Amazing amount of parking available for as many vehicles as you would need to bring; we had four trucks which did not come close to filling up the available parking places. There is also plenty of room for a large long boat trailer. There is one building called the cottage (we called at the bungalow) that is not on the water but it’s very well appointed and three of our adult children stayed in this unit. It had a beautiful living space, kitchen, sunroom with a pull out bed and a large master bedroom. Two bathrooms and washer and dryer completed this unit that had all the amenities you would need. The other two units face over the beautiful grounds & bay and are almost identical in floor plan with a large master and adjoining bathroom and then a slightly smaller room that does not face the water with access to an adjacent hallway bathroom. These units each have their own washer and dryer and full amenities. The grounds behind these units are a beautiful grass oasis with palm trees and the most squirrels playing that you’ve ever seen. The property has its own small protected bay that easy accommodated a 29 foot boat. We also brought in a 22 foot flats boat with no problem; they bay fit both boats. Unfortunately; there is a more recently installed boat lift which is not in the pictures we had seen and is not available for renters to use but this boat lift caused minor problems with moving the boats around as it overhangs part of the bay. Our party of nine loved this property and while it does not have a pool we enjoyed swimming in the bay. We would definitely stay here again. It is close to a wonderful breakfast restaurant called Mangrove Mike’s and close to the famous Lorelei’s. Easy access by boat to everywhere including the famous sandbar bar.

Our family of 9 adults rented the entire compound for Christmas week. The grounds were gorgeous and we spent every day and evening sitting by the water. The property was conveniently located near several good restaurants and a few minutes by car from Publix,for groceries. The 3 separate living spaces was perfect to provide some distancing and privacy. A few suggestions : the deck furniture could use power washing, the loungers by the water were plentiful, but could use some padding for comfort. Lastly, new pillows are needed, as they were stained and some of the sheets had stains as well.the kitchens were stocked with plenty of pots ,pans,utensils,and some condiments. The hammocks were a big hit outdoors.we had an extra guest one night who slept on pull out couch and it was very uncomfortable. All said, we enjoyed the property and would return again.

Great place for family and hang out - Only thing the chairs for hanging outside need some "comfortable ones with padding" and a pool would be awsome! Update some inside furniture. But we loved and enjoyed having our family all together and was very peaceful.
